Hiking Trails: Explore the natural beauty of the area on several hiking trails that wind around the gorge. These trails, ranging from easy to moderate difficulty, are ideal for stretching your legs before a swim or enjoying a leisurely post-swim walk.

Swimming and Relaxation: The cove’s pool is a wonderful spot for swimmers of all levels to enjoy the water. Those looking for a more laid-back visit can lounge on the rocks, soak up the sun, and enjoy the serene environment.

Cliff Jumping: For the adventurous, the high cliffs surrounding the swimming hole provide exhilarating opportunities for cliff jumping, offering various heights for a thrilling plunge into the waters below. The pool has shallow water with frequent changes in depth. Jumping or diving is not recommended.

Preserving the Natural Beauty

As a protected area, visitors to Guffey Gorge are encouraged to adhere to Leave No Trace principles. This includes packing out all trash, minimizing noise, and respecting the wildlife and plants, helping to keep the area pristine for future visitors.

The site can be popular, especially in the summer, so consider arriving early to find a good spot. Be aware that parking is limited and there is a small fee for maintenance and preservation of the area.
