Ridgeline Tours - Experience The Rockies Unfiltered and Unforgettable.
Ridgeline Tours is unique from any other tour company you’ve likely encountered before. Off-roading, and the discovery of out-of-the-way places, is their passion and has been since coming to Colorado over 30 years ago. Here are just a few of the things that set Ridgeline Tours apart from all others:
- Tours are 100% private for your group of six or less.
- Tours range from mild to wild and, based on your preferences, are planned just for your group.
- The owner personally drives every group.
- Their vehicle is a custom Toyota Land Cruiser with safety, comfort, and off-road capabilities that are unmatched by nearly any other vehicle.
Think chauffeured limousine vs. mass transit…private jet vs. flying coach…a bespoke suit vs. off-the-rack…you get the idea. They travel to places other companies cannot reach and, because each drive is private, they can even adapt to your interests on the fly. Want to stop and take a photo?…get out and stretch your legs?…take a detour to see what’s over that hill?…just say the word and they can make it happen!
Off Road Tour Options
Adventure with Ridgeline Tours for an unforgettable off-road adventure in the Colorado Rockies. Within each of the tour regions below, we have routes and destinations covering the familiar Green = Easy, Blue = Moderate, and Black = Difficult rating system used on the ski slopes. Simply pick your region, whether you want a full or half-day adventure, your preferred trail rating, and leave the rest to us. We will personalize a route specifically tailored to your group size, age range, and comfort level. Snacks and beverages are included with every tour, and full-day tours also include a picnic lunch.
Collegiate Peaks Region
Many of our tours in this region begin with a visit to the ghost town of St. Elmo, largely deserted after a fire in 1890. From there we’ll climb above the tree line to see abandoned mines, alpine meadows, and high mountain lakes. We may have time for a snowball fight, even in July and August! On the way, we’ll drive across South Park, the site of an ancient sea bed, where hundreds of pronghorn antelope roam along with a few bison. With any luck, we may see a variety of other wildlife including pikas, marmots, and even moose.
Front Range Region
Many of our tours in this region follow the historic paths of the Gold Rush era, from old stagecoach and railroad routes to mining towns past and present. This region is ideal for those who love a mix of adventure and history. Thanks in large part to the lower elevations, this area allows for year-round tours.
Continental Divide Region
As the name implies, all tours in this region cross the Continental Divide, traveling over high mountain passes used by Native Americans and settlers during the westward expansion. On the way, we’ll drive across South Park, the site of an ancient sea bed, where hundreds of pronghorn antelope roam, along with a few bison. With any luck, we may see a variety of other wildlife including pikas, marmots, and even moose.
Civilized Tour Options
Not into rough, rocky roads but still want to see breathtaking scenery, amazing fall foliage, the possibility of wildlife sightings, but with a cappuccino and a little shopping thrown in? We have you covered with these four civilized routes where hiking boots are not required.
